Welcome to your first hour in Supermarket Chaos. This chapter covers items 1 through 500 — enough to learn every core mechanic, earn meaningful skill upgrades, and build momentum toward the mid-game. Take your time; the game rewards patience.
Step 1: Learn Controls (Items 1–10)
Walk around the store using WASD. Pick up your first scattered product with the interact button. Read its name. Find the matching section and shelf tag. Place it. You have just completed the entire game loop. Review the controls page if anything feels awkward.
Step 2: Clear Fruit Section (Items 10–80)
Head to the fruit section. Pick up all visible fruit items from nearby floors and place them on matching tags. Apples, bananas, and oranges are visually distinct — ideal for learning tag matching. The store begins transforming visually as shelves fill.
Step 3: Tea and Bakery (Items 80–150)
Move to tea and bakery. Tea boxes require reading labels carefully. Bakery items introduce varied packaging shapes. Earn your first meaningful coin pile for skills.
Step 4: First Skill Upgrades (Items 150–200)
Open the skill tree. Buy carrying tier 1, then movement tier 1. Immediately notice faster collection runs. If no skills appear, stop and follow the fix guide.
Step 5: Expand Sections (Items 200–400)
Add dairy, snacks, and frozen foods. Use increased carry capacity to batch pickups. Unlock 100 Stocked achievement around item 100. Visit the computer for Music Duty achievement.
Step 6: Push to 500 (Items 400–500)
Clear remaining nearby sections. Buy carrying tier 2. Log progress on the Progress Tracker. When you hit 500, continue to the mid-game chapter. Reference how to play anytime you forget the loop.
